After so many long days in the car, I decided that I couldn't do it again today. I also think that Bryce needed a break too. Bryce was such a trooper and never really complained, but I knew it was time for some major wiggle time.
We picked up Grandpa Ken and Grandma Cathy at their hotel and headed into the cute little town of Hood River. It was so beautiful, the brick buildings, the great shops, the wonderful friendly people. I can't tell you how friendly and out of their way Oregon people will go to make you feel welcome. I love that and wish that more of the world was like that.
We shared a wonderful lunch over looking the Columbia River and walked through many of the shops in town. Then we decided to head off to look at a few of the local winery's. Bryce enjoyed running around in the grass and seeing the beautiful grounds, then she fell asleep, so Grandma and I sat in the truck with her while the boys did their thing.
As the evening approached, we had to say goodbye to Grandpa Ken and Grandma Cathy. They needed to head to their hotel and then home in the morning. Thank you so much, both of you, for your time, energy and love during this journey. A huge THANK YOU too for our gifts from the Metropolitan. We can't wait to go there in November.
Bryce enjoying the view from the camper early in the morning.
