After a very yummy cup of coffee with Christie, Eric and his Mom, Carol, it was time to hit the road. We were off to meet Grandpa Ken and Grandma Cathy in Vancouver, WA. It only took us a few short hours in the truck and we were there. We started with a very yummy breakfast at the Heathman's Lodge, Thanks, Grandpa and Grandma!!! After getting our things together we all piled in Grandpa's truck to see the sights in Vancouver and Battle Ground. What a wonderful day.
After several hours in the truck though, we decided it was time to make our way to our campground on the Columbia River. It was called the Memaloose and was just a few minutes outside of Hood River, OR. I really think that the State of California needs to take some lessons as far as campgrounds are concerned. It was green, beautiful, roomy, clean, cheap (1/2 the price a night) and the showers were FREE. We loved it!!!
Grandpa and Grandma joined us for a yummy Filet Mignon dinner at our camp and a little wiggle time with Bryce. Then they made there way to their hotel for the night. We all needed to get some rest before another day of fun.
