There are days when your mind just starts going, even before you have thought about waking up for the day, then you wake up. That is that, no more sleep...you are awake. With it still being so cold and dark outside this morning, that was me. It was 3:30 this morning and I was up. I was grateful for a little quiet time, time to sort things out in my head, process all that is going on...but I sure could have used some more sleep. Oh well, there is always tonight.
We had a wonderful morning together as a family and then there was so much to do. Bryce was eager to get on with her "make make" play. I love watching her while she is doing this, there is such great make believe play happening and it is all created by her little mind.
With all of this wonderful cooking play, Alan and I know exactly what Santa should bring.
Anything and everything from the kitchen becomes great play
It took a lot longer to decorate our tree this year. It seemed like I would begin to decorate and then get side tracked some how...but the best part is, that it is finally done. As Alan says, "the yuppie tree is done".
We were blessed with a visit from Grandma Ginny this afternoon. It was such a treat for all of us to see her, even if she didn't bring Papa Jack. We did miss seeing him though. The last time that we saw her was when we went to Bass Lake the beginning of October. Bryce and Grandma shared some wonderful play time as well as dance time. I was so enjoying watching them together, that it slipped my tired mind to get the camera. But tonight, right before bed, that moment was replayed with Alan and Bryce. How cute to see this sight, even though I was picturing in the back of my mind a future sight. That thought was Bryce and her Daddy dancing at her wedding, thank goodness that will be a long, long time down the road. I think that every mother has that thought when they see their daughter dance with their daddy. A very sweet moment.
Dance Baby, Dance
Oh, how I wish that you could smell this rose, the aroma is so sweet and dreamy. I picked it last Thursday before we left and it is still so BEAUTIFUL and fragrant. It is almost the size of my whole hand spread out. This is with out a doubt one that I will be planting when we move early next year. Yes, I said it!!! It is true.
