Our First Day

What a totally different routine we all started with today. Alan and I were up at 4 a.m., with very tired eyes. I made his breakfast, his lunch and he left for what would be his official first day at work. What an adventure, working for someone else, being able to leave work at work and coming home to your family that missed you all day. We all have be so spoiled with being able to be together all day, everyday for so long. But, that is all in the past and will forever be cherished time.

Bryce and I had a great day together, getting things done. Her little eye is almost back to its cute blue self. YEAH! We even took a little trip to Trader Joe's. Bryce loved being the helper since Daddy wasn't there. She did a great job and as we were leaving, they handed her about 15 stickers-she was in Heaven. I let Bryce take a few minutes to watch Wonder Pets this afternoon. How cute is she?

Alan got home at about 5 tonight and oh my...I think this says it all. A real working man! Dirty, but hard work is never clean. He had a wonderful day and we are so glad. Alan was able to do new things like, rebuild a water pump for a big commercial A/C unit. There will be many new adventures with this job. They even told him that he will be taking a few classes too. There must be more that can be learned even with doing this business for 25+ years. You can never learn too much. Like I said before, this is a whole different routine for all of us, but we can do it.

This afternoon as I was checking up on all the blogs, I can across the most precious (next to this one) video. It was Abby Holbrook at dance class and she was so cute. When Bryce awoke from her nap, I shared it with her. She then immediately began dancing (in our ugly office), doing everything that Abby was doing. As she danced, she screamed, "with Abby, jumping with Abby". Bryce wants to take dance classes now when she is old enough. I can't wait to share that joy with her. Thanks for posting that wonderful video Alice.
