Moving the "Make Make"

After such a busy day getting ready for Bryce's little birthday party tomorrow, it was time to make room in the family room. So, we decided to move the "make make" to Bryce's room. Of course she thought that was a great idea, we are not too sure. I am sure that in the middle of the night, I will hear her up making some kind of late night snack. Let just hope that really doesn't happen.
After we moved the kitchen into Bryce's room, she had to set everything up and begin to "make make". She even made herself a little cake, she eats the pretend ones, but not the real thing. Silly girl. I think that she is really going to enjoy having her kitchen in her room. But as all toys do, I am sure they will migrate back to the family room. Oh, well!

Smiles

I ran a few errands this afternoon as Bryce was napping and as I arrived home, there was Bryce waiting for me in the window full of smiles. I love all the smiles that I receive throughout the day from Bryce. Each one is so precious and they all belong to my little love. I love you and your beautiful smile, Love Bug!

Tonight we called Papa Jack to wish him Happy Birthday. Of course, Bryce had to take her turn having a conversation with Papa Jack and then Grandma Ginny. As Bryce had her little conversation, she was multi-tasking. She went in her house, drank her bottle and talked on the phone. It is so precious to hear her talk on the phone, in her own little language.
Happy Birthday Papa Jack!

Full of Energy

We opened a new box of cereal this morning and Bryce wanted the box. Well, she started walking around the house with the box on her head. She could not see at all, but she did a great job trying to maneuver throughout the house. Of course she did hit a wall here and there, but she had a great time. I asked Alan to cut her some eyes in the box so that she could see. That made the box even more fun, Bryce had such a great time looking like a robot.
What a great day for a marathon nap...4.5 hours, you go Bryce. There is just something about rainy days that makes for a great nap. Bryce sure enjoyed hers today, she woke up full of energy and raring to go. First thing she did was stop in the office to say hello to Alan and ride her bike. Then it was go go go from there. I love when she is able to get the rest that she needs and wake up ready for more fun.

More, More!

This morning, Bryce got a special visit from Grandma Ginny. When Grandma arrived at the door Bryce noticed that she was carrying a bag. Bryce then said to Grandma,"for Bryce". We laughed and Bryce brought the bag in the house. In this bag there were presents for Bryce. She was so excited and has become such a pro at opening them. The only thing that I wish that I could change, but I know she is too young to understand is, asking for more. When she is done opening one gift, she asks for more. I am sure that this is true and normal for all small children or is it just mine? Thanks for the wonderful book and adorable PJ's for Bryce Momma!

House

How beautiful the skies were this morning. Looks like we have a week of drizzle on the way. Yeah!!!
The first thing that came out of the Princess's mouth this morning, was "house". She was so eager to see Wampa, Wamma and her house. After we said our sad goodbye's to them, Bryce was ready to have her breakfast in her house. She set her plate on the floor so that she could open the door and then went in to eat her breakfast.
There were also several times today that Bryce had Alan in her house. They had a tea party together, read books and laughed very hard. What a trooper Alan was for climbing in that little house for his little girl. Good Job, Alan!

Happy Birthday Austin!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday

My Little Princess is "2". It is so hard to even describe the joy that Bryce has brought to our lives over these last two years. Her smile, laughter and love for everything make each day so special. Again, I say THANK YOU, Lord for this blessing!!!
You couldn't tell who was more excited at the gifts from Wampa and Wamma. Was it Wamma or Bryce? It was a play electric mixer and toaster for Bryce's kitchen. They are so cute, and the sounds are so real. Bryce was eager to get "make, making" with these new kitchen additions. Thanks Wampa and Wamma for the perfect gifts for Bryce and for sharing this special day with her.
It is always so fun picking out gifts for Bryce. I decided that this was going to be one of the most perfect gift for her. The look on her face as she saw it in the backyard after her nap was priceless. She was so happy having a little house of her own. The hours that she played and laughed in it tonight made me convinced that this was a wonderful gift.
As I was making dinner tonight, Bryce decided that she wanted to see what I was doing. So Grandma Midge and I showed Bryce how to trim green beans. She is a quick study that is for sure. But after a few moments, she had to run to her own kitchen and get her own pan for the beans.
While we made quick work of the dishes, Grandma Midge and Bryce shared a few special moments reading books together. Thanks for all the help in the kitchen Wamma and Wampa. Thanks for the special gift of "2's" Grandma Midge. Grandma Midge gave Bryce several $2 bills as well as 2 coins from each denomination. 2's for the 2 years old!!!
Bryce was a little serious as Wamma lit her birthday candle....
...but then it was all smiles when the singing started.
Bryce did a great job blowing out her candle. She actually did it and it was so cute to watch her little lips pucker up.
...is she really going to eat her cake? NOT!!! She ate a few m&m's and a forced bite from Alan. Other than that, she wanted to feed her cake to everyone instead. I guess even a year later, she is not a cake eater.
Happy Birthday Love Bug!!!
