Bang Bang Bang

Bryce woke from her very wonderful nap this afternoon to ...bang bang bang. So immediately when I went in her room to get her she wanted to know what the noise was. She pointed to her window and I drew the blinds so that she could see outside. It was Daddy, working on the BBQ.
Of course she wanted outside to see him. Daddy's favorite!!!

Uh!!! OH!!! UH!!! That means...come over here and look at this leaf with me (I think). Bryce found a leaf under her shoe and was very interested in it.

She twirled it around in her fingers as she watched Daddy bang some more on the BBQ

Then she studied every little line it it. She was very serious. But only for a minute. LOL!!!

Tree's and soup cans

This afternoon we had to run a few errands and one of them included a trip to Lowe's. Well Alan bought me this wonderful pot and tree. Bryce loved sitting next to it this evening and pulling on the little flowers. We have 2 trees that we may be saying "goodbye" too . The frost that we had in January took a tole on our Ficus trees. One of them has been with me for 28 years, I finally decided to put him in the ground (actually Alan and Grandpa Ken put him in) when we moved to this house. But he is not recovering and neither is the one that Alan and I when we first got married. How sad....but we still have the one from our 5th anniversary and he is BEAUTIFUL.

Tonight while I was making dinner I let Bryce play in the pantry to keep her busy. I was so PROUD of her when I turned around. She had taken all the cans of Cream of Mushroom and stacked them on each other perfectly. I couldn't believe my eyes...o.k. yes I could. She is my daughter and loves a good challenge like her Mother. You go Brycie...I am sure that it has to do with all the practice from her stacker's (Thanks Eric and Mary).

Time with Grandma Midge

Bryce was able to have play time with Grandma Midge today...they have not had this in a few weeks and I could tell they both missed it. I think that every toy was played with and put out on the floor. They were so busy, and it was so precious to see.

This afternoon, Bryce loved being outside watching Daddy mow the lawn. She really doesn't like the loud sounds, but she does love to see what is going on. It was such a beautiful "winter like" afternoon.

15 Months Old

Our "little miracle" is 15 months old today. I am so amazed each morning at the sight of her in her bed- that she is our daughter, that she is here. The joy that she brings to all our lives and the love...oh!!! Thank you Lord for this wonderful blessing.

We love you, Brycie Bear!!!

We love rainy days...Bryce and I sit and watch the rain fall. I can't wait to be one of those mom's that let's their children just go splash, splash, splash in the puddles. But not today!!! Bryce is finally again almost better from this last bought with a cold. YEAH!!!

We took Bryce to get her blood draw done today....it was so sad. My stomach hurt so bad for her. I just wanted to cry. I think the worst part for her was being held down. Alan said that she did better than I do. Good for her...I don't want her to be afraid of anything like me. I am going to do my part to make sure that happens. Poor little thing cried so hard all over again when I went to take the wrap off her arm....so heart breaking. But she is fine now and the best part.....napping!!!

Eating not Napping

What a good little eater...but where is my napper? Bryce polished two Turkey dogs and a cup of watermelon down for lunch today. She just kept giving me the sign for more, then she hoovered it down. But she is not my napper today or yesterday. I am sure that it has something to do with the shots (maybe), and I pray that it's just a faze.

Check up

Today, I had to take Bryce to her 12 month check-up. Yes, my little one is going to turn 15 months in a few days and is just being able to have this check-up. With Bryce being so sick this year we have had to keep postponing what I call a not so fun visit to the Doctor.

Poor love had to have 3 shots and we still have to do a blood draw. I took Bryce by myself today, what an experience for both of us. Daddy usually holds her while she gets shots. But we both handled it just fine. For the blood work, that is where I draw the line. Since I am such a baby and have to lay down to get my blood draw- how do I have Brycie's done? I know that it probably would be fine, but better safe than sorry. That really would be a sight, Bryce on my lap and me passing out and ending up on the floor. No thanks. So Daddy-your up!!!

Here are the stats on Brycie:

-She weighs 20lbs 10oz (15 percentile)
-She is 30 1/4 inch tall (40 percentile)

I decided that Bryce needed a feel better present so this is what she got....

Home again

Bryce was such a good naper today...she woke early, so naps began early. She took a 3 hour nap this morning and while she did that, I got to excersie, clean the camper out, sort the laundry, pay bills, shower and make a shopping list. Once she woke, we were off to the market and then home for lunch and back out to the car wash. This afternoon, there was another great nap that lasted for 2 hours, I was in the yard, pulling weeds and looking at all the new roses growing. I love days like this, where I get so much done. But I do miss my Boogaboo when she sleeps so long.
