Summers Here!

When summer arrives, the corn on the cob, and the melons are a daily treat. You also know that summer is here when all the fresh veggies are present at every meal. Oh, what a treat...we are so spoiled. I love summer!

Happy Birthday America

Let me just start by saying this was a hard blog to do. I took over 200 pictures today and I had such a hard time with not posting them all. I had to draw the line though, since I am at 92% full on this blog site. It looks like I am going to have to start a new one very soon.

I know, you are not suppose to really touch the flag, but try to explain that to a two year old standing in front of an over sized flag at her level. I sure didn't mind when I captured my sweet little American girl!
How lucky are we? We were invited to the Flamingo Street Block Party. This is the street that the Baiseri's live on with all their wonderful family filled neighbors. We felt so honored to be able to be apart of such a great tradition and couldn't wait for the fun to begin. This year the Baiseri's held it at their home and the whole neighborhood and friends were invited. I won't bore you with all the fun, because you might get jealous-but it was great! Let's just say, there was fun everywhere (swimming, bubbles, water balloon fights, dancing, fireworks, goody bags, bee stings, and so much more) and the food, you would'nt believe was endless. It was all so wonderful and an unforgettable day. We can't wait to see if we get an invitation for next year.

Water anyone?

After we went and cared for "Boo" bird and Grandma Midge's flowers (she is still in Oregon, we hope having a wonderful time) (plus all the ones that are ours that she is carrying for) it was time for some real fun. So, we went to the Baiseri's, there is always fun to be had there. They are the new owners of a very wonderful water toy, it is a huge double slide, and a climbing wall with water everywhere. As it was inflating Bryce was not too sure of it. Whenever she is nervous about anything, she places her hands over her mouth, what a nut! Little lady Charlotte watering the plants.
Mr. Handsome!
The girls enjoying the little pool
Then it was time to be brave and thanks to Greysen, Bryce made that huge climb. It was never ending fun from there. She and Charlie climbed that wall and the slide for hours. Thanks for helping Bryce make that climb Greysen.
Thanks for the wonderful day Sister. I can't wait to spend more of those with you this summer. It is going to be the summer that we have dreamed of. Tomorrow?

The Library

With a new chapter starting in our lives, that means new adventures. I have wanted to take Bryce to the library for so long, but we never went. Instead, we just bought new books here and there. Well, today I decided it was the day, we were going to the library. With her cute little pig tails, we headed out the door. What a great time we had, it was so hard to leave. Bryce signed up for the summer toddler reading program and received a great book just for signing up. Then we spent a really long time picking out books to take home, this was such fun for Bryce. Right before we were ready to check out, we noticed more and more little ones arriving. It was story time and we were there. The librarian read 3 stories, had share time and did 3 little dances including all the kids and props. I loved watching Bryce interact with them and pay so close attention to every word read. This will be a weekly adventure for us from now on. Bryce wants Grandma to go and Charlie too!
