After church and a yummy lunch, it was time for a well needed nap. But before this little one would go to sleep, she needed a few stories. So, she climbed on Grandpa's lap in his office and they shared a story together.

Morning Bubble Wars
Alan and Grandpa Ken started the morning with a men's breakfast with the men at church. While that was going on, Bryce and I enjoyed some time with bubble wars. We had such a great time and we were even snuck up on with the camera by Grandma Cathy. We enjoyed this girl time and I know that this special time will continue.
After Daddy and Grandpa came home, it was time to go on an adventure. Our destination was Gig harbor a very fun ,quiet little town, except for today. The whole town was out and enjoying a celebration. What fun for all. Even more fun was had when Bryce came across this horse, it was a must. She did such a great job, I think and I will say it again, "someone is growing up".
Happy 1 Month Birthday Keaton and Lawson!!!

How many?
How many rides can a little one go on? As many as she can with quarters from mom's purse. Tonight, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Mongolian BBQ. Oh, can you say,"yummy"? Then Grandpa and Grandma went to shop for a new computer. While they did that, we took Bryce to the indoor mall next door. We knew there were toys and run around time for the little princess.

Playing in the rain
What kind of mother am I? A mother that got the biggest smile from her little girl when I said she could go play in the rain. Bryce saw that Grandpa Ken was in the rain, mind you he was on the covered deck BBQing. Well that was enough for her, she requested her rain jacket and boots. How could I resist, what was it going to hurt? Nothing! So her wish was granted and the laughter and joy began. Thanks for playing in the rain with Bryce, Alan. You are a great father!

Going on a Goose Chase
We all were ready for an adventure, (kind of, I have a very nasty cold) and so we headed for Vashion Island. It is a very beautiful drive which even includes a ferry ride. Bryce was so excited about this. She has done this many times before on our adventures up here, but I think that because she is older, she enjoyed it so much more.
After we got off the ferry, it was time to see some beauty. Everything is so green from all of the rain and smells so crisp (what I can smell). Bryce told Grandpa Ken that she wanted to see a horse, so he found her one. She then said, I want to see a pig, we looked but we could'nt fill that request. But we did find these Alpaca's instead. How cute they are with their fresh shorn coats. We were on a goose chase as Bryce would say.
As usual, when we visit Vashion there is a trip to the Hardware Store. No, not a real one, it used to be back in the day, but now it is a yummy little restaurant with fabulous food. With full belly's and a little shopping, we decided to head back across the water. A few days before, we had read in the paper that a Humpback whale was feeding right where we were taking the ferry. On the way over, we looked so hard but never came across him. Then on the way back...there he was. What a treat that was! These pictures are so far from where he was, we were on the dock waiting for the ferry. But we did get to watch him, which was so fun.

Bound to happen
After running around doing the hardest work of my life, and to now to be doing nothing, of course my body is in shock. With that happening, I got a cold. Not what I wanted at all, we are trying to have fun and how can you do that when you don't feel good? Well, the last few days, have been filled with great naps for Bryce (back to her 4+ hours) and a first for Alan and I in a long time. We watched movies, what a treat this was. If you have not see August Rush, it is a mush see. I loved it so much and it will be a must watch again.
Here are a few pictures from the last few days. We are praying for an adventure day tomorrow, so look for a new post.
Having a cheese snack and looking so cute
Cracker picnic with Pa Ken and her dolly, Karleigh
Wamma Cathy came home from a day of errands with some special gift for Bryce. It was a camera, flashlight, binocular set as well as some very wonderful puzzles. The puzzles are not like anything I have ever seen. They are so wonderful, thank you Wamma so very much!
