Waiting

When I told Bryce that Daddy was bringing us lunch home today and it included rice for her, she went to the chair to watch for him. It was so cute to sit there and listen to her say "Dadda, Dadda, rice, Bryce". How fun to watch your little one sit there waiting for Daddy to bring her a special treat. I love these timeless moments.
I really can't even believe how the hours of this day flew by. We all enjoyed having a cozy day with a fire (all-day) and just being home. It was so wonderful to see the rain outside and enjoy a change in the weather. When the weather is like this it makes me want to do so many things. I was able to get Bryce's Elmo blanket made, as well as a pillow case. I then hand painted two lap trays for Bryce and Charlotte. There was so much more that I was able to accomplish today too and I fell that this was a great productive day.
I can't wait to give this cozy blanket to Bryce...is it Christmas Eve yet? Charlotte and Bryce are going to love these lap trays, or at least I hope they do.

A Big Helper

Bryce and I had a wonderful yet busy morning. We went to the post office and it was so fun to have Bryce help put the stamps on the envelopes. If your Christmas card has a crooked stamp, it was personally placed by Bryce. She then was such a big girl and put them all in the mail slot. We then spent the next 2 hours getting last minute Christmas things taken care of. It is such a joy to have Bryce want and to be such a big part of all the chores and errands that need to be done each day. I am beyond cherishing these moments while they last.
When we arrived home this afternoon, Bryce wanted to play dress up in my vest. How cute she is, trying to be bigger than she is. Slow down little one, I know the day is coming when you will be in my closet borrowing my clothes. I so look forward to that, just not yet.

When I arrived back home tonight, after a little one on one time with Grandma Ginny,(Thanks Grandma Ginny and Alan), this was the sight that I saw. This cute little Bryce having a snack, with the most outrageous hair ever. Don't you wish that you could be this cute and walk around like this, not have a care in the world, I do.
One of the stops that Bryce and I made today was to the fabric store. For the last few weeks, she has seen Charlotte have in the car a Elmo blanket. Well, the Elmo blanket was made for Greysen almost 5 years ago by me, when he was so into Elmo. So, I thought that maybe since Bryce is so into Elmo, maybe she needs one too. As Bryce and I searched the isle for Elmo fabric, this was the one that we came up with. I would have loved to find a cuter one, but she loved this one. She loved it so much that she was hugging the fabric. So, we paid for it, I distracted her and she has not asked again about the fabric. I know I won't be able to pull this off for much longer, but it is so fun while it last. When she goes to bed tonight, I will sew her the most precious Elmo blanket ever. I think that we will wait till Christmas Eve to give it to her. You know, we have a tradition of new PJ's on Christmas Eve and well a new Elmo blanket with that makes for a perfect gift.

More " Make, Make"

There is just something so fun about going Christmas shopping with your little one. What is even better than that, is that you are picking out her gifts and she has no idea. There we were standing in Toys R Us this afternoon, on the kitchen isle. She wanted to touch them all and make, make. But little did she know that while Momma was distracting her, Daddy placed the kitchen in the cart, paid for it and placed it in the truck. What a wonderful time Alan and I had doing this. On Christmas morning, it will even be better to see Bryce walk out to the tree and see the kitchen. I can't wait...
Tonight, Bryce wanted Daddy to "Make, Make" with her. They sat on the floor and started cooking. I wonder what she thinks that they are making, its it something so yummy? Who knows, but she is having a wonderful time being the Chef and that is all that matters.
Do you want a bite Boo?
Oh, it was yummy!
Let's keep making
Do you want a taste of my dish Daddy?
Here you go
I think it needs more, of my special touch.
Time to move the "Make, Make", by the fire.
Look at all of these dishes that we are going to have to do...all in the day of a good chef.

Our Future Chef

Not you typical Saturday morning in the Muller household. Lets start with this, Momma slept a little last night and that was a great start for a new day. When Bryce awoke this morning, we pulled her in our bed and she said "news, news". She knows that Mommy likes a few minutes of news to start the day. Well, being a Saturday there really is only a few minutes of news on in the morning and then it's cartoon city. So, after our few minutes of news, a cup of coffee, and then Alan started browsing the channels, I told him to turn it to 30 Minute Meals. I can't even describe to you exactly the body language from Bryce when that show came on. She adjusted herself in bed and that was that....she was glued and didn't move. When the commercials would come on, she would say "more, more make it". Then the show was back and blank stare again....

Daddy had to go fix Uncle Scott's heater this morning, so it was Bryce and I. Well, as I started getting ready for the day and getting things done, this is where Bryce wanted to be. She sat and laid on our bed eating cheerios watching the Food Network. I know that I should have had her do something else, but I was so in shock that a 22 month old wanted to watch the cooking channel for over an hour. That is so not normal, but too precious. She even took her water and wanted to add it to her cheerios, started stirring and said "make make". Is she going to be a chef? Or was it a Train conductor? Wait, I got it, she is going to be a chef on a train...whatever she wants to be, she will be great at it.

Bryce had several wonderful hours of play time with Grandma Midge tonight. There was time for drawing, making, a yummy dinner and a bath. It was a cozy night full of love.

Did you see our tree? How cute am I?
I love our Christmas tree...

Make Believe

There are days when your mind just starts going, even before you have thought about waking up for the day, then you wake up. That is that, no more sleep...you are awake. With it still being so cold and dark outside this morning, that was me. It was 3:30 this morning and I was up. I was grateful for a little quiet time, time to sort things out in my head, process all that is going on...but I sure could have used some more sleep. Oh well, there is always tonight.

We had a wonderful morning together as a family and then there was so much to do. Bryce was eager to get on with her "make make" play. I love watching her while she is doing this, there is such great make believe play happening and it is all created by her little mind.

With all of this wonderful cooking play, Alan and I know exactly what Santa should bring.
Anything and everything from the kitchen becomes great play It took a lot longer to decorate our tree this year. It seemed like I would begin to decorate and then get side tracked some how...but the best part is, that it is finally done. As Alan says, "the yuppie tree is done".
We were blessed with a visit from Grandma Ginny this afternoon. It was such a treat for all of us to see her, even if she didn't bring Papa Jack. We did miss seeing him though. The last time that we saw her was when we went to Bass Lake the beginning of October. Bryce and Grandma shared some wonderful play time as well as dance time. I was so enjoying watching them together, that it slipped my tired mind to get the camera. But tonight, right before bed, that moment was replayed with Alan and Bryce. How cute to see this sight, even though I was picturing in the back of my mind a future sight. That thought was Bryce and her Daddy dancing at her wedding, thank goodness that will be a long, long time down the road. I think that every mother has that thought when they see their daughter dance with their daddy. A very sweet moment.

Dance Baby, Dance
Oh, how I wish that you could smell this rose, the aroma is so sweet and dreamy. I picked it last Thursday before we left and it is still so BEAUTIFUL and fragrant. It is almost the size of my whole hand spread out. This is with out a doubt one that I will be planting when we move early next year.
Yes, I said it!!! It is true.

Bad or Good, Happy or Sad

We decided that we were going to head out for lunch today, then the phone rang. Time to show the house again...I'm done already. So with that, we decided to go to our favorite place and that is Victoria Gardens. We thought that we would have a nice lunch, a visit with Santa and a train ride.

Waiting, waiting for what? My parents say we are waiting for Santa, but what is that? What am I too think? I know that it is a beautiful day, I know that my tummy is full, I know that I am loved, Bad or Good, Happy or Sad, but what is this Santa that I am waiting for? The cutest little Santa Bull Dog that you ever did see, this guy was solid. If he was mine, I would name him Winston (for you Daddy).

Well, as parents, you have to be prepared for those not so planned moments. As we stood in line waiting for Santa, I thought about how perfectly and cute Bryce sat on the Easter Bunny's lap. Will that happen now, what will she think? Good thing, I had my camera ready, or we would have been paying big bucks for a very sad little one that was so afraid of Santa that she held her breath. This is a time that I was happy with myself for saying "No", that we didn't want these pictures. The girl taking the pictures thought that they were so cute, but I think that is apart of her job. I was so sad for Bryce, not knowing, not being prepared or feeling safe, sorry little love.
After her whole world came to a crying traumatizing halt, we decided to fix it with a wonderful Choo Choo ride. Bryce was back to her normal little self in a matter of moments. I really think that she wants to be a train conductor when she grows up.

Well, there comes a time when you really need to make your home feel and look like Christmas. We were going to put our tree up last week, but with us being gone, we decided to wait. After a very adventurous (emotional day), we arrived at Star Berry Farms in search of the perfect Muller Family Tree. I have to admit that my eyes kept eye balling those 10 footers, like the one from last year. But when you are selling a house, you want it to look big, so that means a smaller tree. I will also admit, this is the shortest time that we have spent picking out our tree, there have been years that it has taken me forever. I know, but I love having the perfect tree, it may not be perfect tree in sight, but God made it and we picked it. That is what makes it the perfect tree. Searching for the perfect tree After picking the perfect tree, it was time to go over and check out the fresh veggies and statues. Bryce loved checking out the statues in front of Star Berry Farms, there were Christmas decorations as well as this wonderful turtle. This is the funniest sight to us. This is the smallest tree that we have ever had and the first that has ever been placed on my car. Another funny thing for the night is, did you know that there is actually a crayon named Macaroni and Cheese. Bryce was playing with a cup and lid tonight and the lid went under the fridge. So as Daddy came to the rescue, he also found this crayon. We had a great laugh as we saw what this crayon had been named. They must be running out of names for their colors with so many out there.
