New Foods

I am trying to introduce Bryce to new foods. They say only try a new one every 3 days so that you can pin point an allergic reaction. Well Grandma Ginny gave her a new food at the party.."chips", and let me tell you she loved them. She opened her little mouth like a bird. It was funny. So I tried another new food...TOMATO'S....and she LOVES them. Yeah!!! I am so glad that she is going to be a big veggie eater like her Momma.

Very Creative!!!

Funny place for a little one. Bryce has her own drawer in the kitchen. It is filled with things that she can play with while I am busy in the kitchen. Sometimes it keeps her very busy. Tonight this is what she decided to do with her drawer. So funny!!!!

First Little Tea Party

Bryce was enjoying some of her new toys today. She had a tea party with some of her friends (of course I invited them). It was so cute to see her being such a girl. She knows exactly what to do with all the cups, saucers, etc., Alan better get ready for his invitation from her. I am sure that it will melt his heart. I better go looking for some great hats for that party. I love having a daughter and so look forward to sharing more of these great moments.

A walk down the block...

Today was such a BEAUTIFUL day and we enjoyed each moment of it. We all went out in the front yard today to change the flags and check on the rose garden. We then let Bryce take her first walk down the block. She walked right to the neighbors who were outside, also enjoying the day. They loved seeing a little visitor walk up their way. Bryce is growing up so fast. I love sharing new adventures with her.

Her First Birthday Party

What an amazing day this has been...where did it go? Why did it go by so fast. I can't believe that we waited so long for this special day and it went by so quickly. Bryce woke up so happy and seemed to be very excited about...HER PARTY!!!! She was so cute looking out on the backyard at all the decorations. What was her little mind thinking? Whatever it was, she was so excited and I was excited for her.

Her party was perfect and I am so happy that we finally got to have it. I was so excited when it was time for "the cake"...but Bryce was so not. It was the funniest sight to see. She wanted nothing to do with that cake. I have never seen a little one not want to eat cake. It was so sad that she didn't just want to dive in and make a mess of that cute little cake. But as I have said before...."the first birthday is more for the Parents"...in this case it is also so true.

Bryce Madison is my perfect little ALL. I am so blessed each day with the joy that she brings to all of us. Her abundant love of life, unforgettable smile and endless talking, make each day a perfect one. Thank you Lord for this blessing and unbelievable gift.

The little things..

It really is the little things in life that matter... like when your daughter pats your shoulder when Daddy ask what you are doing; meaning "I am with my Mom"

The greatest little thing ...when you get that BIG ear to ear smile....Goodnight little one, sleep well, be cozy all night long...I love you. That was tonight, I put Bryce in bed and gave her my all. She looked up at me and gave me the biggest smile. I melted.

Tomorrow is her second attempt at a first Birthday party.
Thanks so much Grandma for the help at getting the cake done. Your timing was perfect and so are you.
I pray that Bryce wakes up well, healthy and happy. I feel SO BLESSED that I have this little one. I know that it was Gods plan and in his time.

We are our childs first teacher.....

One year ago today, Bryce shared this special moment with Grandpa and Grandma Holbrook. I feel so blessed that she was able to have that moment, I know that I was all choked up...

This morning I was trying on a few shirts and as I took them off I made a pile on the floor, so that I could put them in the Goodwill box. Well, Bryce knew that was not where they belonged...so she proceeded to pick one up at a time and walk them to the clothes hamper. It was so funny to watch her do that.
Yesterday, she knew the laundry was not in the right place too. I had it on the couch and was folding it because she had her balls in the laundry basket. She took her balls out of the basket and came to the pile of clothes and started putting them in the basket.
Our children learn from ALL of our actions, we are their first teachers. I am so proud that I get to help mold this little one and raise her in Gods way. As I think about it, I get so excited thinking about all that I want to teach her.
